University Technology Commercialization Focused Cohort
UAccel, the University Technology Commercialization Focused Cohort of Launch Blue offers professional development and an experiential learning opportunity to innovators in higher education that are interested in learning the best commercialization path for their technology.
The goal of the program is to advance the technology toward commercialization, including preparations for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications, creation of a startup, or licensing of the technology.
UAccel includes bi-weekly cohort meetings, independent study with high-quality startup training materials using the online LaunchPad Central platform, guided application exercises, and bi-weekly coaching sessions with the Launch Blue accelerator program instructors and coaches.
Cohort meetings are held bi-weekly on Friday mornings via Zoom with selected sessions held in-person at Base110 in Lexington. Coaching sessions take place via Zoom and are scheduled on alternating weeks.
To be considered for the UAccel focused cohort, candidates must be affiliated with the University of Kentucky Office of Technology Commercialization (UK OTC), University of Louisville EPI-Center (UofL EPI) or a Kentucky Commercialization Ventures (KCV) partner institution.
