Kentucky among first states to launch an intellectual property alliance — here's why it matters

KY Inno covers the launch of the Kentucky Intellectual Property Alliance (KYIPA), an innovative partnership started by Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation and Kentucky Commercialization Ventures. KYIPA serves as a "super connector" between universities, law firms and other stakeholders to support intellectual property education and attainment in Kentucky.

KCV Executive Director Monique Kuykendoll Quarterman shares, "Protecting those ideas is an important first step in really reaching the full potential of an innovation. The IP Alliance is really bringing together those stakeholders, corporations law firms, higher education centers, really anyone who has an interest in making the best of Kentucky's ideas."
